Achieve success and confidence for EVERY learner in front of you!
This has been our passion and still is!
The Author
Linda Katherine Smith-Jones' goal has always been to help every struggling reader achieve confidence and excellence in literacy.
This quest became her passion in 1987 when she discovered that her daughter is dyslexic. She watched her daughter struggle to read, write and spell from an early age.
Linda threw herself into research, evaluating alternative approaches and best practices for dyslexic and struggling learners.
She discovered how best to teach her own daughter and, therefore, all struggling readers and dyslexics. Her daughter is now a college graduate with a degree in landscape architecture.
She and hundreds of Linda’s students continue to benefit from her passion. Since Linda’s retirement from the classroom, she has been tutoring children from the ages of 3 to 18 using Phonetic Reading with Silent Elephant “e”®.
Linda's academic credentials includes:
Bachelor of Science degree with double majors in Elementary Education K-8 and Physical Education and Health K-12, with a minor in Coaching // St. Cloud State University in Minnesota
Master of Arts in Elementary Education K-8 // University of Denver
Postgraduate study of England’s National Curriculum K-12 // University of Oxford
Fulbright Scholarship of education in Japan
Linda is active in the International Dyslexic Association, the International Literacy Association and the National Education Association.
